Samson's psychological problems

In Archives of General Psychiatry Vol.58 p.202. Eric Altschuler of the University of California, San Diego, claims that Samson suffered from Antisocial Personality Disorder. His violent tendencies showed when he killed 1000 Philistines without remorse. He also showed a reckless disregard for his own safety, by telling Delilah the secret of his strength, even though she had tried to kill him three times previously. He also showed impulsivity and an inability to conform to social norms when he burnt Philistine fields; also deceit, in not telling his parents that he had obtained honey from the carcass of a lion. As a child, he was badly behaved, setting things on fire, torturing animals, and bullying other children. Samson's mother drank during her pregnancy, despite warnings from angels not to do so
